I have a '95 Nissan Maxima and have a coolant leak coming from above the oil pan. What could it possibly be?

I looked really well on the side near and around the water pump but could see no visible moisture. What is my next step to find out where it's coming from? There's a lot of places for coolant to leak above the oil pan. Move the car to a shaded area and up on ramps to improve your visibility. Use a bright hand-held light. A focusing flashlight will work too. Get under there and stay clear of the belts and fan. Trace it backwards. Look really close at the underside of the water pump. Most have a weep hole where coolant escapes indicating the water pump bearings are failing. start from your radiator and follow the hoses you will find it!
There could be a freeze plug leaking. But my guess would be your bypass hose.
