How far do you tighten it when it first reaches tightness? 1/4 turn, 1/2 turn? Or your own answer?When doing an oil change how tight do you tighten the oil drain plug for a 95 Honda Civic Lx?
18 ft/lbs is spec with a crush washer, i usually turn by hand it until it stops and turn it about 15 degrees ,1/4 turn wouldn't hurt but no more than that.If it has the alumium washer, do not break it loose.
