The 2002-2006 generation Maxima takes 4.5 quarts of oil [this includes an oil filter change of course]How much oil does it take to fill up a 2004 maxima?
4 and 1/2 with new oil filter , check after running for few minutes How much oil does it take to fill up a 2004 maxima?
Check your owners manual it tells you exactly how much to put in. I believe its 4 quarts but I would check the book.
