How can I get out a stuck oil drain plug?

I just bought a truck with high milage and it appears noone has changed the oil in a pretty long time. The drain plug won't budge for anything. I have wrenched it till it's nearly stripped out and I don't want to keep doing it till it's rounded off. Are there any tricks I can try?How can I get out a stuck oil drain plug?
Weld a new nut on top of the old plug so you can get a socket on the new nut and put an impact to it. It should come off.How can I get out a stuck oil drain plug?
vice grips or pipe wrench then get a new one
Use a 6 point socket, 1/2 drive if you can and tap really good on the ratchet handle. You can even get a peice of pipe and put over the end of the ratchet for leverage, like a 2 foot section.
have somebody weld a nut to the end of the plug and you can usually turn it out. try using a 6 point socket.
use an impact wrench...The vibs will loosen the rusted plug...Be careful...you should use a 12 point socket to do this.
Take it in to the dealer and have them change the oil. A good shop tech will get it off much easier than you can and he'll probably put a new plug in for you.
Take a cigarret lighter or fire starter and hold it to the plug until it gets so hot you cannot touch it. This will expand the metal. Let it cool then try taking it out. Its worth a shot. Red hot works on rusted oil field bolts like a charm but dont burn down the truck. If worse comes to worse get an ease-out of the proper size and drill a hole through it and then screw it out.
WD-40, torque wrench with 12-point socket, if it still slips, weld a new nut on top of the old one, you can re use it if you want, or get a replacement. The fire is also a good idea, but have a fire extinguisher and a friend nearby. Butane lighter gets hottest fastest, so try that. Or remove the pan, and get a new one, but make sure you get one that includes gasket and plug. That's pretty much all your options.
