Maximum dilution levels for each essential oil in scalp massage?

hello.





ive heard of someone that Lavender can go up to 10%. and the normal dilution level is 2.5% can essential oils go any higher than this in scalp massage or can some go higher?

It depends on the oil. Lavender has been shown to be safe in dilutions up to 16%, but some oils should be used in dilutions no more than 1%.





I have two safety manuals:


Essential Oils and Safety by Robert Tisserand and Tony Balacs


and


Plant Aromatics by Martin Watt


that I follow. Both have numerous references regarding studies done to show the safety levels of oils. Also, you can check the IFRA restrictions on certain oils (just google ';IFRA essential oils';).Maximum dilution levels for each essential oil in scalp massage?
I wouldn't do 10%. Remember less is more with essential oils. I personally wouldn't go much above 1% dilution.





remember that some people can have sensitivities to the oils and that using them in too high of a concentration can really irritate the skin
