What is the maximum oil pressure on a Chevy Trailblazer 2003?

I have a 2003 Chevy Trailblazer and the oil pressure has been in the 60 to 70 psi range. From books I have found that the minimum pressure is 12 psi. But no upper limit has been established.

I don't recall the exact number but I believe the oil pressure when the car was new was in the 40's which is about halfway up the gauge, and where I would believe the standard pressure to be at.

So, another question is - What is the standard operating oil pressure on the Trailblazer?

And finally, what could happen if oil pressure goes up to 80, which is the upper limit in the gauge? Should I even let it go that high or should I bring the car to a mechanic for a check up?

Thanks! What is the maximum oil pressure on a Chevy Trailblazer 2003?
There really is no upper limit for oil pressure. The ';normal'; range at operating temperature for most vehicles is 20-80psi. You car is fine. Just keep the oil %26amp; filter changed regularly and don't worry. What is the maximum oil pressure on a Chevy Trailblazer 2003?
30-50pounds to high you will erode your main bearings better get it fix your engine will not last as long as it should
Your oil pressure is fine. Anything above 5psi at idle will lubricate your engine fine. There is no Maxim oil pressure. When the engine is cold and the oil is thick you should see 60 to 80psi. when it warms u may see a drop in pressure up to or around 50psi. This is normal. Too much oil pressure WILL NOT HURT an engine. Worst case it could cause it to leak but it would have to exceed well over 100psi. and that not going to happen. Its mechanically imposable. Given the oil pump is stock and not an aftermarket high pressure pump or something. Don't worry about it!!
