Can synthetic oil clean out my Maxima's engine?

Okay, i just recently purchased a beautiful 1997 Nissan Maxima with 102k miles on it. It is time to change the oil and a lot of people have been telling me to use Mobil 1 Synthetic oil becasue it will clean out my engine and all the sludge that the dino oil has caused. I was told to use the mobil 1 oil and change after 3000 miles to get rid of the sludge and then change the oil at 4-5k miles interval.

So, do i have to change the oil after 3k miles on synthetic to clean out the engne then run synthetic for every 4-5k miles? Can synthetic oil clean out my Maxima's engine?
If you really want to protect your engine and have it last a long time, use Mobile 1 Synthetic oil and a bypass oil filter.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The Ea By-Pass Oil Filter (EaBP) provides the best possible filtration protection against wear and oil degradation. Working in conjunction with the engine’s full-flow oil filter, the AMSOIL Ea By-Pass Filter operates by filtering oil on a “partial-flow” basis. It draws approximately 10 percent of the oil pump’s capacity at any one time and traps the extremely small, wear-causing contaminants that full-flow filters can’t remove. The AMSOIL Ea Bypass Filter typically filters all the oil in the system several times an hour, so the engine continuously receives analytically clean oil.

This what I use and I've never had a major engine problem.
