How to change the oil on if the oil drain plug is welded?

well my friend sorry to say but you WILL need to replace your pan and get a new plug because that baby is not gonna come out without breaking the oil pan. also gonna have to buy a new gasket too.How to change the oil on if the oil drain plug is welded?
huh a welded plug. some idiot must not have known which way to turn to loosen or didn't know when to stop turning to tighten. the best bet is a new or salvage yard pan. try cherryauto.com for good parts. How to change the oil on if the oil drain plug is welded?
Simple solution.

Go to Pep Boys, or JC Whitney and buy an oil change kit that has a vacuum pump. You place the plastic tube into the dipstick tube and it pumps out the oil.
they make a marine pump. you can get it at a lot of places, you can can get one than plugs in to 12v. 110v, or hookes to the end of a drill. the hose goes done through the oil dipstick tube. you suck out the ould oil as best you can, these are used on boats where you cannot get to the drain plug. it doesnt sound very effecient, but thats what we have to do with my friends boat. some can be found at walmart, and also through j.c. whitney.
I SERIOUSLY doubt it's welded.

It may just be realy tight.

Try to loosen it again. Counter clockwise.
Forget the pumps... You can't the sludge out that way. That crap sits in the bottom of the pan. And you never know if theose is in the lowest part of the pan. Might not get it all. Cheap crap that doesn't do it. You really need to get the pan replaced or fixed. It is the best way.
Why is the plug welded!

You will need to drop the oil pan to change the oil.

While it鈥檚 down, have the oil plug port repaired properly so the plug is usable again.

That鈥檚 just wrong!
You have a couple options: The best thing for you to do is get a new oil pan with a drain plug and new gasket. The other thing to do is drop the oil pan and replace the oil pan gasket whenever you change your oil. The only other option you may have is some garages have an oil plug kit where they can retap a hole in your oil pan. My friend has one at his garage and I watched him do it. Hope this helps.
ya don't even think about sucking it out that's the fix the last guy had and that was doing it half a???? do it wright replace oil pan or get somebody to fix the threads depends on how much it is welded on maters on that too
the drain plug is welded??????........WTF????......you are about to embark on an expensive journey of getting the oilpan replaced.........which is what should have been done when the stripped threads, the weld cured, was discovered!!!!
They make a pump that goes in where your oil stick is that will pump the old oil out! Good Luck!
Ignore all the nay sayers that insist you must change to oil pan. http://www.autosportcatalog.com/index.cf鈥?/a> is the answer. If that is too much for you to spend, http://www.wholesalemarine.com/c/410011/鈥?/a> will give you some cheaper alternatives.
Not sure on that one, about the only thing you could do is replace the oil pan,if it's welded then something must be wrong with it to have to weld it in the first place..
