What size socket is needed for the oil pan drain plug in a 1997 Chevy Cavalier?

I am going to do my first oil change tomorrow and I need to know so I am prepared. What size socket is needed for the oil pan drain plug in a 1997 Chevy Cavalier?
It's metric for sure and what ever you do, don't use a open end adjustible Cresent wrench, because you will round it off, when you go under take a 13,14,15 with you and don't forget to take the filter and little oil with you to wet the gasket and a rag :(What size socket is needed for the oil pan drain plug in a 1997 Chevy Cavalier?
As long as you have a basic set of tools it should be in there. If you do not then it may be to tuff of a job for you to tackle. It is very easy to do but if you mess up your car could detonate.
probably a 18 mm.
Hey TWISTED The correct ans, is a13mm or a15mm wrench or socket! (pending on motor size) Your better off at a quick change place! 20$ It will cost you 15$ and get rid of the oil. Be smart! MIKE
The last one I did was 15mm. I have also seen them with 13mm
13mm or a 15mm
3/4 i believe, it depends on what size your oil pan is though
14mm.
15mm for sure.
i own a repair shop, and i think this one uses a 15 mm, socket on it,i do these all the time but sometimes remembering a size is hard to do,,but i think this is right,,good luck i hope this help,s,,it may be a 13 mm also i remember a few that were smaller.
It is somewhere between a 13 %26amp; 15 mm, but my first guess would be 15, if it has the original factory plug in it.
