Good luck why? there is no filter. Just a screen. Drain and refill four qts of dextron ATF. If the transmission fluid smells burnt do not change unless you want to start walking to work.

No. But I hope this is not the first oil change. If so forget it and rebuild it. Switch to Sync. ATF in your new trans and add a trans cooler. Change Sync. every 85,000 miles and your trans will last the lifetime of engine.
