2001 Maxima SE ...Oil check?

Hi


I just got a maxima and im not sure how to check its oil becuz in the owners manual it says to warm up the car to operating temperature and then turn off and wait 10 mins, then check oil. When i just check without warming up and not following that procedure the oil is almost empty. But if i follow the procedure outlined in the owners manual, the oil shows more than full.


Is my oil finished? IM reaaally confused.

i own a repair shop,and this is how your supposed to check the oil on it,,it should read full after setting for a few minutes after being gun,,but it should also read about full even when cold on it id keep an eye on it for a while but they do have a strange procedure for checking the oil on them,, always refer to the owners manual its very help full , i do this for a living,and i still have to look at them from time to time,,they help a lot,good luck i hope this help,s.2001 Maxima SE ...Oil check?
the best time to check your oil is in the morning,that way all the oil is drained down in the pan.
