Nissan Technicians use silicone grease on the two O rings around the new water pump. We also drain the engine block prior to removing the water pump. Even then the oil gets changed.1996 nissan maxima changed water pump now I have water in the oil ?
Did you drain the oil and refill it after you replaced the pump?
When you pull out the old pump a gush of coolant will run down into the timing cover.. you must replace the oil because of this.
If you have already replaced the oil.. and its still got coolant in it then it isnt seated/sealed properly and its leaking.
