I have a 2005 Dodge Strattus with a rounded off and stuck oil drain plug, how do I get it out?

as an absolute last resort take an old lug nut or nut and tack weld it to the drain plug remove as normal. sometimes taking an old cheap socket slightly smaller than the drain plug tap it over it with a hammer LIGHTLY as no to damage your oil pan remove with socket wrench. if every thing else that has been suggested by myself and others fails, it would be time to drill and use an easy out, hopefully you will not damage the threads in your pan.I have a 2005 Dodge Strattus with a rounded off and stuck oil drain plug, how do I get it out?
If all else fails use a file and file down the head so you have two parallel surfaces, then use vice grips, or an adjustable wrench, or pipe wrench, but be sure to leave enough head on so it does not break off completely.Once you get a good grip on it, it should releaseI have a 2005 Dodge Strattus with a rounded off and stuck oil drain plug, how do I get it out?
Work along the flattest sides with a cold chisel and a hammer, banging it counterclockwise till it's loose.
You might use vicegrips to remove it, i think if you hammer on it you might damage the pan.
